A note for tomorrow
A simple way to record unfinished tasks without turning the evening into another planning session.
Some tasks remain unfinished at the end of a day. A short note can be a practical place to record them. It does not need a new application, a detailed system or a perfect schedule.
Keep the note small
Choose a format you already use: a sheet of paper, a notebook or a plain text file. Record the next action rather than the whole project. “Find the appointment letter” is more specific than “sort out paperwork”.
Separate tomorrow from later
Use two short lists. Put tasks that genuinely belong to tomorrow on the first. Put the others under “later”. If the first list grows too long, reconsider what really has a deadline.
| Tomorrow | Later |
|---|---|
| Find the letter | Reorganize the folder |
| Reply to one message | Review older notes |
Give the note an ending
Once you have captured what matters, put it somewhere you can find it again. You can revise the list tomorrow. This is an organizational suggestion, not a method for treating stress or sleep difficulties.
If you want to explore the wider topic, the site’s stress and sleep guides offer separate starting points.
